A new project

Dear Universe

I’ve been mixing something for a little while.  A sweet secret little thing that encapsulates all that I am passionate about – food, people and story telling.  I didn’t ask anyone for permission or think too much about how it was going to happen…..I just began one morning with a very small action, and then took another. I stopped thinking and started doing.

I speak about it quietly, work late in to the night and think about it first thing in the morning. A new project driven by passion.  A website about food, people and the stories that connect them.

A website about growers, artisan producers, the people who cook your dinner, waitresses, the people who wake up early to bake your bread, sommeliers, the restaurant reviewers, baristas and people who love food and work hard so that you can be part of a food journey.

Yesterday my business card arrived and it marked the beginning of telling the world about this little thing that’s been brewing.

I’d like to introduce you to my new project – foodhands.  A place to celebrate food and people through the telling of personal stories and detailed interviews.  It’s a little way off, the first of the stories, but please join me in watching its creation and follow the progress on twitter.
