Dear Universal Letterboxes
Last month I asked your owners if they would like to indulge you a little by filling you with nice notes and pretty envelopes. Many of them agreed it was a splendid idea and so I set about writing short letters and cards to strangers, old friends and interesting new acquaintances. In return I received colourful envelopes and unknown handwriting. It was thrilling and each time I would race up the stairs to my house, tearing at the envelope to find the messages inside.

I was so thrilled to receive a card from you last month. It’s true that most of our mail is boring old bills and marketing blurb. And while I love email, a real, physical letter is something else entirely. Thank you m’dear it was beautiful to receive.
